I had an interesting dream early this morning where I was talking in the first-person, looking out of my own eyes but my gaze was more looking out the window to my right and not directly at the person who was just out of sight to my left. The focus of the dream was on the conversation more than the visual, which the nuggets I recalled were “tree decked with silver and gold”, “Which Holy-day will you choose to worship – the gods of your ancestors or the Most High God?”, “gifts under every green tree” The dream ended.
Those fragments were familiar and sounded like scripture so I went digging.
Jeremiah 10:1-5 KJV – Hear ye the word which the Lord speaketh unto you, O house of Israel: 2 Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
Joshua 24:14-15 KJV – 14 Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. 15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
1 Kings 14:23 – AMPC – For they also built themselves [idolatrous] high places, pillars, and Asherim [idolatrous symbols of the goddess Asherah] on every high hill and under every green tree.
Deut 12:2-5, 29-31 KJV – 2 Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree: 3 And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place. 4 Ye shall not do so unto the Lord your God. 5 But unto the place which the Lord your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come: … 29 When the Lord thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land; 30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. 31 Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God: for every abomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.
Knowing a lot of the above scriptures connect with the idolatry of Christmas, I checked Hebcal.com for any clues. Surprise, surprise! Hanukkah 1st Candle and Christmas land on the same day this year! As I pondered what focus the LORD was trying to highlight, He will be testing people’s hearts, much like He gave them a choice of why and who to vote for in the US elections, to see if they will worship the gods of their forefathers or chose to Fear the LORD and worship Him alone? Will they continue same-old, same-old in compromise, or make the hard course correction now that the truth has been exposed? He would be assessing people’s heart posture as to which god / God they would be worshiping this year. Would they chose to worship the one true God of the Bible like the Puritans, or the gods of their ancestors which are the gods of Freemasonry that George Washington worshiped and laid the U.S. Capitol cornerstone in dedication to despite all the talk that he made a covenant with the God of the Bible? In light of that discovery, it makes much more sense now why the prophets were warning en-masse over the last 6 years especially to get through deliverance of Freemasonry and heart healing! God will always provide mercy before He brings judgment! I saw the pattern before, but had no clue of the severity of the ramifications of God’s judgment in removing Freemasons from power.
From my children’s elementary US history curriculum, I knew that the Puritans and Pilgrims made Christmas ILLEGAL when they landed in America in the early 1600’s, having broken away from the Church of England (that branched from the Roman Catholic church) and its occult practices to pursue religious freedom to obey the Bible as it is written. It wasn’t until the Freemasons regained power in the political arena in the mid-1800s that the national laws making worshiping Christmas (what was formerly known as Saturnalia) illegal were overturned. That meant Christmas was illegal for over 200 years before being re-introduced and becoming mainstream once again for the last 200 years. Just because a belief seems normal in OUR lifetime doesn’t mean it was always the standard of the church.
An interesting tidbit as I was digging – The Pilgrims made a big hullabaloo about Thanksgiving to celebrate the harvest. Although the timing is off from the Hebrew calendar due to the northern climate, they were following the biblical PATTERN of worshiping God at the end of the Harvest season which would have been Feasts of Trumpets and Tabernacles.
Just like there has been a deep state in government, Big Pharma, and Fake News, there has also been a deep state in the church for the last 1700+ years since Roman Emperor Constantine made “Christianity” the national religion, then threatened Bible abiding sabbath or feast keepers with death. For the last 9 years that I’m personally aware of, the prophets have been calling us back to God’s Holy feast days. A study of revival and reformation through the scriptures shows consistently, a shift out of idolatry and back into purity required that they return to God’s feast days listed out in Lev 23. Moses out of Egypt, Ezra & Nehemiah out of Babylon, King Hezekiah and King Josiah both destroying the corruption that bred within, The Maccabbees repossessing the defiled temple from the Romans, Jesus challenging the Pharisees of their empty religion with the Feast of Dedication (now called Hanukkah) during a time of Roman Occupation yet again.
