I had a 2 part dream on Nov 20, 2019. In the dream, I’m watching out of a pair of eyes but not actually seeing my character, in observation mode. I know I represent the wife. After meditating on this dream, I release this for consideration as a corporate word.
I’m in an unknown 2 story house that I know is mine, dark inside but through the windows, I can see snow outside. Suddenly 2 people, male & female, in 2 vehicles careen through the backyard like they are racing and skidding their cars around my dormant garden patch. They barge into my home with a very focused intent, without explaining why and rush downstairs, politely pushing me aside as if I have no authority to question them. I’m offended for their abrupt, uninvited presence into the house. I’m trying to follow them, yelling for them to get out of MY house but they don’t listen. When they come back up moments later, they say the heartbeat of the system was irregular and needed to be fixed before it was too late then exit the home just as quickly.
When my Husband comes in through the door, I pour out to Him all their offenses. He calmly tells me He already knew. He was the one who sent them to fix the problem in the first place.
Then part 2, I’m now outside the house in the almost 20 yr old Oldsmobile with Sophia (Holy Wisdom) driving and Serenity (Peace) sitting in the front passenger seat. My observation mode is from the middle backseat, which I’m not happy about as I have no control over the wheel. The car appears to be in reverse, driving backwards without Sophia looking where she’s going, which is causing extreme fear as I don’t trust her driving skills. I grab the gear shifter, but it won’t budge out of reverse. Out of fear of the car smashing, I climb into the front seat, pick up Sophia by the back of her shirt and pants, open the driver’s seat and toss her out the door. Then I grab the steering wheel myself and try to hit the gas. I’m pumping the pedal as hard as possible, but nothing is happening, as if there is no longer any power or gas in the car. I grab the gear stick and try to wrestle it into forward drive, but it snaps off in my hands. Then my Husband calmly stands behind the car and the useless car rolls to a stop. I jump out spazzing at Him, waving the defective gear stick. Again, He calmly says, “I know. That’s why I wanted to give you a new one, but you wouldn’t accept it. Now this one is toast.” The dream ends with a pregnant pause, without knowing what would happen next but somehow knowing the NEXT would be determined by the choices of the wife.

The main highlights that leapt out:
Part 1:
– The church is the bride and Jesus is our bridegroom.
– The house represents our personal heart/spirit as well as the commerical church.
– The wife deemed the house to be “MINE!” with full authority when it was actually her Husband’s house. Ungodly order of the home. Spirit of Control.
– The wife thought she had authority to control who could and couldn’t come into her Husband’s house.
– The heartbeat of the home was irregular but the wife was clueless as to the seriousness of the situation. Her offense caused her to fight against the solution to a problem she lacked discernment to identify.
– The mechanics obediently followed orders from the True Head of the Home, and overruled the one who THOUGHT she had authority.
– The wife was ignorant of the Husband’s plans and actions, and therefore their visit caught her off guard.
– The problem was a heart condition, located within the foundations of the house.
– The garden was dormant, not fruitful.
Part 2:
– Vehicle: Oldsmobile. The old way of moving or being moved in ministry.
– Sophia = Holy Wisdom. Serenity = Peace.
– Wisdom & Peace were guiding the car backwards. The lack of trust in the Spirit of Wisdom, the Holy Spirit, provoked fear instead of safety, resulting in usurping control and tossing the Holy Spirit out of the ministry.
– There has been an unwanted shift in seasons, a shift we are fighting instead of embracing where the Holy Spirit wants to take us.
– Things are moving backwards compared to what the wife was expecting. Her expectations and need for control, driven by fear, will cause offense to take root in her heart, leading to destruction.
– Our Husband, Jesus, wanted to give the wife the NEW thing but she rejected it, leaving her powerless and exposed.
– The ending is not the true ending. Will the wife remain fearful, controlling & bitterly offended over unmet expectations or will she repent for usurping control and refusing the NEW way of doing ministry?
