Ever wonder WHO is under a strong delusion? In short, those who SAY they know God but refuse to obey His commandments do not have the Truth in them and it is those who do not love the Truths that are handed over to a strong delusion. Now that the strong delusion has been exposed for what it is, you can recover yourself from the snare of the devil and walk into freedom.
2 Timothy 2:26 – And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

1 John 1:7 – 7 But IF we walk in the LIGHT, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
The key word here is IF. IF we walk in the light. So what is Light? Most people automatically jump to “Jesus!” And that is partially correct as He declares He is the Light of the World while he is in the World. (John 9:5) Except we are also to be the light of the world also. (Matt 5:14)
So what does the scripture say is the Light?
Proverbs 6:23 – 23 For the commandment is a lamp; and THE LAW IS LIGHT; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
Ps 19:7-9 – 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. 8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the COMMANDMENT of the Lord is pure, ENLIGHTENING THE EYES. 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
Jesus is the Light of the World because He obeyed God’s commandments, without sin! When we obey the commandments just like Jesus, we bring the Light into the world.
When we confess with our mouths that we have sinned and broken His commandments, (Rom 10:10) then turn from that sin to obeying His commandments (Matt 4:17) by believing in our hearts unto righteousness, (Rom 10:10) and receive the blood of Jesus for our sins, we are cleansed from all sin! (Eph 1:7)
This is where people get tripped up with hyper grace theology. Being cleansed is not automatic. We actually have to admit we sinned, which means we need to KNOW what sin is (breaking God’s commandments). We must confess our sins, take personal responsibility for them, and apply the blood to each of those sins so that the judgment against us in the Courts of Heaven where the accuser of the brethren is bringing evidence against us day and night can be tossed out of court and we can receive our spiritual inheritance! Once we possess that cleansing, we must follow through by DOING obedience, not simply HEAR we are supposed to obey, deceiving our own selves (James 1:22)
Eph 1:17-19 – 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The EYES OF YOUR UNDERSTANDING BEING ENLIGHTENED; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Job 28:28 – And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to DEPART FROM EVIL IS UNDERSTANDING.
Psalm 111:10– The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good UNDERSTANDING have all they that DO his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
Receiving the blood of the covenant given to us by the Spirit of Grace for forgiveness of sins WITHOUT following through with obedience will result in severe penalties by the wrath of God.
Heb 10:26-31 – 26 For if we SIN WILFULLY after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
This is the danger of SAYING/confessing Jesus is LORD = Kyrios = Master/boss of your life but refusing to submit to and obey His commandments.
Apostle Paul knew that legalism was deadly but so was lawlessness. Until we come TO Jesus, in a loving relationship bathed in mercy and justice, the Law is simply a bondage. As long as we participate in the opposite end, which is lawlessness, we cannot KNOW God and therefore will not have eternal life, which is another form of eternal bondage.
Jn 17:3 – 3 And this is life eternal, that they might KNOW thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
So how do we get to KNOW the LORD so we can have eternal life?
1 Jn 2:3-6 – 3And hereby we do know that we know him, IF we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth NOT his commandments, is a liar, and THE TRUTH IS NOT IN HIM. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
So those who SAY they know God but DON”T keep His commandments are liars and the truth is not in them.
Those who do not love the Truth will be handed over to a strong delusion.
2 Thess 2:10-13 – 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they RECEIVED NOT THE LOVE OF THE TRUTH, that they might be saved.11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who BELIEVED NOT THE TRUTH, but had pleasure in UNRIGHTEOUSNESS. 13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
