I had to release a warning yesterday after someone shared excitedly about a lady who “knew” Jesus, who talked with Him all the time and had a spiritual sight relationship with him 24/7. Hearing about it provoked them to hunger for more of Jesus themselves. That was the GOOD part.
However, the Holy Spirit was sending off red flares, so I started asking questions. Did they know if this lady read her Bible? Nope. She didn’t call herself a Christian, she didn’t read the Bible, didn’t do anything that would otherwise identify her as a believer who obeyed the scriptures BUT she had Jesus, wasn’t that good enough? Then I asked if she had ever shown any signs of repenting of her sins. Nope. But she had peace! She had joy, more than most church-goers, so she must be doing something right! Right???
That’s when the Holy Spirit dropped the words “Another Jesus” into my heart. He reminded me of a time I had to warn a traveling evangelist that he had also gotten tangled up in a false Jesus, highlighting the 2 ditch dwellers – one who is more the New Age and one who thinks they know it all because they carry the title of “Preacher” and is a master at stoking the coffers with guilt and shame. We are to worship the Heavenly Father in BOTH Spirit and truth, not one or the other.
The 2 identifiers I prophetically shared yesterday about the REAL Jesus Christ:
1) The Real Jesus Christ will lead you to the Heavenly Father, not keep all the attention on himself like the deceiving Angel of Light. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, the life. No man cometh TO the Father but by him. Jesus isn’t the final destination, he’s the way! He will do the will of the Father (obey God’s commandments), say what the Father is saying, and do what the Father is doing. The focus of Jesus’ earthly ministry was always projecting glory back to the Heavenly Father, not attracting it to himself.
2) The Real Jesus Christ will lead us into repentance for our sin. That’s WHY he came! His mandate on earth was calling people to “Repent! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!” He came to become the sinless atoning blood sacrifice once for all. If we think that we can have spiritual encounters with Jesus and completely bypass the reality that we need receive the free gift of His blood payment for our sins and ignore the mandate to walk into righteousness, my dear we have been deceived.
Now I’m going to say something very controversial but hear me out. That lady who was seeing “Jesus” did NOT need a written Bible in order to have the REAL Jesus. And you can have the Bible and NOT have the REAL Jesus.
(** Side note: Anyone who has taken vows to join the Freemasons even at the 1st degree are given the bait and switch as they swear their blood, family lines, spiritual eyes and ears and throat to the god of Baphomet while laying their hand on a “bible”, while quoting a lot of Christian-sounding language. This CAN be forgiven and repented of the devils cast out, and the satanic blood covenants nullified! The freedom is receiving the Heavenly Father’s unconditional love is AMAZING and the healings that come are as varied as the curses! One lady had a tumor fall clean off onto the floor when she went through deliverance! Another was healed of the agonizing pains of diverticulosis. Our daughter was INSTANTLY healed of an Autism-like disorder, with developmental delays and delayed speech. Talk about freaky in a good way! https://jubileeresources.org/pages/freemasonry )
The LORD drove the point home of not neglecting the spirit realm when I was starting to slide into error myself of thinking you HAD to have a Bible and know how to read a few years ago by sending someone along who through dreams and visions was learning the same commandments we were studying out in writing. She was so moved with the reality of the truth that she repented of her compromise and started walking into obedience of the commandments, willing to endure the persecution from the religious sector, who by their own declarations ironically confirmed her visions!
She had never heard about the “Torah” or “God’s commandments/covenant”. She had never heard about “the 613 commandments” but she was obeying them! She may not have had the religious lingo to give a dissertation of the power of repentance, but she was walking it out! She would show up at my door telling me about the most awesome visions she had had. I would in turn share with her the very verse/passage she was describing in picture form. If the LORD never makes you uncomfortable or corrects your theology at some point in your walk with Him, I can guarantee you aren’t listening to His voice. Humility is mandatory in the Kingdom of Heaven. He’s boss, not your theology!
The LORD then led a man across my path who was visibly glowing with the Fear of the LORD, which intrigued me. I’ve felt it off many people but up to that point, I had never SEEN it so powerfully on a single person. He had been an Aramaic refugee from Egypt. Because of his childhood was spent on survival, he hadn’t learned to read or write until he landed in Canada in his 20’s. He shared how Jesus would come and sit with him every day as a child and teach him the scriptures and the truth of His word. He taught him how forgiveness of his enemies who had been so cruel to him and his family was a requirement to follow Him. Laying down his life for the LORD and obedience of the Heavenly Father unto the death was a requirement to follow Him. If he denied Jesus before men in order to avoid pain or earthly death, Jesus would deny him before the Heavenly Father. When a Canadian crossed his path to “evangelize” him with Canadian Christianity, the tables got turned and this Aramean had the privilege of sharing the REAL Jesus with the Canadian.
The warning to guard against the 2 ditches of “Another Jesus” is encapsulated in this – is the supernatural experience with Jesus Christ leading us into a deeper relationship of obedience with the Heavenly Father with a view of eternity or is it simply leading us into a supernatural experience that makes us feel good in the here and now? Is the intellectual exercise of Bible study leading us into a deeper love relationship of obedience with the Heavenly Father or is it simply puffing up our intellectual pride to hide our deep insecurity with our identity?
In this Kingdom era where the veil over the spirit realm is becoming mighty thin, we must be solidly grounded in the Word – both the written word and the Living Word – in relationship that produces fruit. Don’t toss out the weird and unusual just because it doesn’t fit within your church box. But don’t also swallow everything hook, line, and sinker just because someone is tapping into the supernatural and throwing around the name of Jesus either. You shall know them by their fruit.
