Aaron & Hur, Man Your Battle Stations! The Battle is Faltering!

Tonight, while trying to stand firm in the midst of intense warfare, the LORD showed me the crucial importance of inter-generational warfare and teamwork. No matter how hard Joshua fought in the thick of the battle on the ground against the Amalekites, whenever Moses’ arms spasmed and his hands cramped from exhaustion and his staff began to drop, the army took on casualties and started to lose. (Exodus 17) It wasn’t that Joshua was a failure as a skilled soldier, inept at being a general, lacking in spiritual authority, or not cut out for the job. It also wasn’t that Moses was any of those things, either. They both gave everything they had but there are physical limitations to our bodies when the battle is prolonged, causing battle fatigue and sleep deprivation that shreds our souls.

The battle wasn’t simply duking it out to see who had more physical prowess. It was a SPIRITUAL battle of hands being lifted up against the throne of the LORD manifesting in the natural realm and had to be fought first and foremost in the HIGH PLACE of prayer – from our heavenly seat. The idolatrous high places and altars had to be torn down in the spirit realm before the battle could be won in the natural realm. The warfare we are all facing is not something that can be done in a posture of pride or with an independent spirit or even from the bleachers. We need ALL HANDS-ON DECK!

Aaron and Hur, you are not washed up and too old for battle. Your experience in the Heavenlies and in the secret place of prayer has warranted you the high position of holding up those who wield authority so that the battle CAN be won! Get to your battle stations! The Joshua Generation needs you! The Moses Generation needs you! You may not live long enough to walk into the Promised Land yourself, but your battles NOW will ensure your grandchildren have a chance to POSSESS THEIR INHERITANCE!
