Last night (Hanukah night #2), the LORD reminded me about this teaching I released during our Glory Party on February 11, 2017 and to post it now before I post any further downloads recorded in my journal. Although I don’t have a verbal recording of that teaching, this is the summary of my notes on the pattern in scripture for Biblical revival.
1) God’s people sin and go into bondage.
2) Their season of bondage ends and the LORD quickens the hearts of the people to return and rebuild the temple.
3) Some people decide to stay where it’s comfortable in the land of bondage. A remnant choose to walk away from everything they’ve ever know, and step out into the unknown.
4) The remnant leave the land of bondage with plunder to (re)build the tabernacle/temple, often given to them from those remaining in the land of bondage.
5) Scribes teach the ignorant but passionate remnant God’s Laws.
6) True repentance happens as they realize how far they have departed from God’s Laws while maintaining lip service to Religion.
7) They renew their covenant with the One True God.
8) God’s feasts are reinstated.
9) The temple is built/rebuilt.
10) The culture around them is influenced and transformed as God’s people prosper through obedience and God’s enemies are judged because of their disobedience.
Examples of this:
– Moses received the written Book of the Law and gave it to the people multiple times during their journey from Egypt to the Promised Land.
– Joshua wrote the Law on the stone altar after crossing over into the Promised land, winning every battle where there was absolute obedience.
– Jehosaphat had the Levites teach the Book of the Law throughout the land. (2 Chronicles 17:9)
– Josiah discovers the Book of the Law, repents, and starts lining up his culture with God’s word, resulting in delayed judgment upon the land (2 Chronicles 34-35)
– Solomon reinstated the Feasts.
– Ezra taught the Law to the first group of exiles that returned from Babylon.
– In Nehemiah 9:2-3, Ezra read out the book of the Law, leading them through repentance and breaking off generational iniquities.
– In Acts 15:19-21, Paul pointed out that the Gentiles coming into the synagogue were only required to INITIALLY do 4 things to qualify to enter the congregation because they would be exposed to Moses’ teachings every Sabbath Day, which would instruct them in God’s commandments in a 12 month cycle.
Joshua 1:7-8 – 7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest. 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Isaiah 42:21 – 21 The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness’ sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.
Isaiah 59:17-20 – 17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. 20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
Nehemiah 9:2-3 – 2 And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers. 3 And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the LORD their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped the LORD their God.
Malachi 3:2-3 – 2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
Psalm 66:10-12 – For You have tried us, O God; You have refined us as silver is refined. You brought us into the net; You laid an oppressive burden upon our loins. You made men ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water, Yet You brought us out into a place of abundance.
