This morning, the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego was highlighted in refusing to bow to the idol and the resulting consequence and miraculous intervention of choosing to fear the LORD more than fearing man’s punishments. They loved their lives not unto death and declared the word of God of Heaven to the king of the earth.
Daniel 3:17 NLT – 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty.
- They had CONFIDENCE their God Jehovah was able to save them.
- They declared He WILL rescue them from the top leader of man’s government.
Daniel 3:28-29 NLT – 28 Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! He sent his angel to rescue his servants who trusted in him. They defied the king’s command and were willing to die rather than serve or worship any god except their own God. 29 Therefore, I make this decree: If any people, whatever their race or nation or language, speak a word against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, they will be torn limb from limb, and their houses will be turned into heaps of rubble. There is no other god who can rescue like this!”
- Their refusal to kowtow and stroke the King’s ginormous ego to get on his good side caused his rage to flare out like the flames stoked 7 times hotter. However, he was HUMBLED by God’s miracle and gave glory to the very God that one-upped him. Then he turned his fiery personality against the prior enemies of God’s children that had previously persecuted them. Remember the saying, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend”? God is willing to put His trustworthy, 100% sold-out servants into the most precarious, impossible situations SO THAT He can expose a nation to His authentic identity – an identity that is more powerful than the most popular and powerful HUMAN on earth. Do not become fearful or bitter at God’s unconventional process but rather, get EXCITED at the miracles that will happen DURING the process as well as AFTERWARD. Hey, you might even receive a promotion after the fact, from the very one who threw you into the fire so keep your heart free from bitterness and judgments.
- The other thing that leapt out was the verse nugget – “[the ones who speak against the God of those who fear the LORD – their] houses will be turned into heaps of rubble.” This reminded me of Barry Wunsch’s word on Telegram about the church (ruled by man and a religious spirit) being turned into a pile of rubble. I had also released a blog about the Return of the Leper’s House (https://www.myfatherswitness.com/my-blog/return-of-the-leper-s-house ), which referenced those who are polluted with an “unclean spirit” are spiritual lepers as well as the curse of Zechariah 5 that causes those who steal and make false covenant to be destroyed timber and stone.

I don’t believe the timing of this ah-ha in relation to the USA presidential election tomorrow on Nov 5th, 2024 between Donald Trump vs Kamala Harris is a coincidence. I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if God allows Trump into office, only to humble him by using those who Fear the LORD more than a president or world leader, then use him to take down the church who flaunts a FORM (not even authentic) of godliness but without power.
I don’t know where to locate Jeremiah Johnson’s prophesy that came to mind, but he had released a word years ago, before the 2020 election sometime, that Trump would win the second term but afterward, the church would be watching in horror at who the man they thought they loved turned into. Is it possible that God will use the very one that churchianity is idolizing to become the very rod against their foolish backs? The battle isn’t over tomorrow. It’s just beginning a whole new season!
