Has anyone accused you of being “Rogue” or a “lone wolf” because you refuse to march to the beat of the status quo drum? Let me share my own inner healing process in case any others that put God first above man have been wounded by accusations of being rogue or a “lone wolf” and caused you to drop your mantle! Let His perspective neutralize the poison of those fiery darts of the enemy and bring healing to your soul!
Recently, I attended a church meeting for the first time at this location. I struck up a conversation with the first person I saw, being friendly and trying to get to know new people before the meeting started. I asked, “So WHO are you? Who has God created YOU to be?” The conversation exposed that they did not know their identity of WHO God had called them to be, rather giving all their man’s training papers & merit badges as if to prove to me they deserved to be in that meeting yet it was apparent they felt inferior & afraid of my questioning, to the point of even physically stepping back.
It was obvious that the spiritual critters inside them were fleeing the exposing light. This wasn’t the place to start squashing bugs, so I shifted the conversation to myself sharing we were new in this environment, our very surface Cole’s notes journey over the last 15 years including the seasons we had been outside the church system on God’s instructions, choosing to develop a home group at various times. The suddenly confident response from this person was that it was a terrible thing to be ROGUE and we must ALWAYS be under church [building] leadership!
Although I remained unmoved outwardly, I inwardly saw my mind’s eyes roll as if to say, “Here we go again!” I’ve heard this ungodly belief tossed my way so many times the last 5 years with the intent to shame me into compliance and try to emotionally manipulate me back into man’s box of control that the rest of the conversation is so predictable. Demons really have no creativity whatsoever!
THIS time, however, I kept my lips buttoned to avoid an argument since the LORD has hammered home over the last year that it is the proud who argue, even if it’s to defend oneself. I’ve learned that one doesn’t need to speak up to test another’s belief system against God’s word and recognize it fails to plumbline with God’s ways then reject it. No matter how much one shares logos or rhema, you’ll never convince an unteachable fool of the truth so don’t even bother trying. (Proverbs 13:10, 20:3).
I wrapped up the conversation, pointing out the time and that the meeting should be starting soon so we better find out seats before the leader arrived. The person looked at me odd and responded, “I’m the leader!” No wonder they felt so intimidated by having their lack of identity exposed! In all the responses previously given, not once did they mention they were the leader!
I heard the LORD say, “What is “rogue”? And WHO is rogue? And who is TRULY rogue? Is the solitary one who obediently climbed the mountain alone to spend time in the presence of the LORD rogue? Or is the one who blindly followed the congregation and polluted priests into idolatry the one who is truly rogue?” He has been digging deep throughout the month of August to pull out the many arrows shot my way over the years intended to squash my identity and destiny with their lies, bringing deep healing to my innermost being.
Once home, I got digging.
The definition of ROGUE:
1. An unprincipled, deceitful, and unreliable person; a scoundrel or rascal.
2. One who is playfully mischievous; a scamp.
3. A wandering beggar; a vagrant.
4. A vicious and solitary animal, especially an elephant that has separated itself from its herd.
5. An organism, especially a plant, that shows an undesirable variation from a standard.
6. Large, destructive, and anomalous or unpredictable: rogue tornado.
7. Operating outside normal or desirable controls: “How could a single rogue trader bring down an otherwise profitable and well-regarded institution?” (Saul Hansell).
8. (tr) to rid (a field or crop) of plants that are inferior, diseased, or of an unwanted variety
9. to identify and remove such plants
The LORD effectively neutralized all the poison from those many lying arrows calling me rogue with that simple definition and surprisingly exposed to my heart that the very ones accusing me of being rogue WERE the rogue ones! Those who chase after the approval and acceptance of man are the ones who are rogue rather than those who were willing to leave the crowd and walk the lonely narrow path of obedient intimacy with Him, owning their sonship with authority, whether OUT of a church building or INTO a foreign field depending on His instructions. Those who decide THEY will decide what is deemed normal or desirable controls are rogue, failing to operate within GOD’S normal and desirable controls.
What is the definition of “unprincipled”?
1. lacking moral principles; unscrupulous
2. not versed in the principles of (a subject)
Those who reject God’s commandments that teach His morals and principles in order to embrace man-made theology are the ones who are rogue. Those who rely on the traditions of men and refuse to worship Him from the heart in the Fear of the LORD that requires obedience to His commandments, both logos and rhema, are the ones who are rogue.
The tares, the unwanted variety within the field, are the rogue ones who are being identified and removed in this season. Jewish tradition teaches that the difference between a tare and wheat, while looking similar at the beginning of their life is that when there SHOULD be fruit (of repentance, of the spirit, of good works, of humility, etc.) that will weigh its head down in humility, a tare will stand upright just like the proud.
HOW did leadership get in this mess to begin with?
I pondered how was it possible for leaders to even be in positions of leadership when they didn’t even know who they were in God’s eyes or know the spiritual authority they have available to the God anointed ones? This isn’t an isolated issue but one that affects the entire corporate business church system, not only the leaders but the entire congregation. People don’t know what God created them for because it is the Heavenly Father that imparts identity yet most stop at Jesus instead of viewing him as the WAY to the Father. They don’t know their destiny assignments, what giftings and mantles they carry, and probably 95% or more don’t know how to wield them efficiently. They are like Gideons trapped in their winepress out of fear slaving over what should be a simple task if Holy Spirit was breathing upon it in the right environment. Many would blink twice when an angel reveals their God-given identity, then reject it because it doesn’t fit their paradigm. We have lions that are caged and commanded to act like those “pwetty puddy tats”, their spirits broken because deep down they KNOW they were created to be warrior hunters, but they are starving in their pits, turning into cannibals out of starvation, developing a “dog-eat-dog” environment out of survival mode.
The Trans movement has simply exposed to the world the state of the church. As the church goes, so goes the world. We have believers rejecting their God-given identities, amputating fruitful identity giftings and callings that make them uniquely in the image of Christ while demanding to recreate themselves into someone else’s definition of an acceptable identity, all the while wondering why that deep hole inside their soul still remains empty. We have apostles created to build foundations with prophets who are trying to force themselves into the mold of a Luciferian platform of control as a hired shepherd. Fiery women evangelists are commanded to be muzzled housewives without value in the name of having a “meek & quiet” spirit and literally lose their minds as self-hatred sets in. It’s no wonder the Trans movement is forcefully advancing the amputation of children’s body parts effectively making them barren! The LORD gave me a dream a while back now that the Canadian prophets have had their own tongues cut out by the church system, leaving barrenness to spread across the land. I command the maimed to be made whole in Jesus name! OWN your God-given identity and walk in it!
So what’s the solution?
Last Sabbath, the LORD drew my attention via a mistaken finger click to a blog that mentioned a book titled, “Own Your Mantle” by Melissa Flores (now available on Amazon.). It’s time for the Body of Christ to discover what mantle God has given each of them and to own it with confidence. Then we wouldn’t be hunting for a sense of identity given or manipulated by inferior men. When we wake up to KNOWING who we are and OWN it, the devil is going to have his hands full…and his pants, just like Isaiah 45:1 reveals!
We were babysitting a child as I unpacked this concept with my children this morning. When you bring your slinky into someone else’s house, that slinky is still YOURS. YOU have ownership over it, authority over whether it is used or not used, and HOW it is used within the overarching authority of the house. The owner can give or block permission of whether that slinky is allowed to walk down the wooden stairs to the delight of onlookers. Just because you walk into someone else’s house, ownership of your slinky doesn’t get surrendered, with you suddenly left empty-handed and feeling like a wandering beggar. That slinky doesn’t suddenly become the property of the head of the house to control.
The head of the home is responsible to maintain godly order, character, and discipline maturity within the home but they have no ownership over the identity God has placed within a person. So often destiny callings and mantles within the Body of Christ have been usurped by the Church System for leadership to control for their own kingdom gain. This mindset is in part why so many feel like slaves and orphans within the Church System. A corporate business pastor cannot remove that identity, whether God created a person to be a prophet or minstrel, even if they chose to block its expression and the blessings it brings into their house and fail to fulfill Ephesians 4:11-12 to mature that identity.
This is where the identity crisis has gotten such a deep root into the church. Believers have dropped their mantles because of the control of ungodly and blind leaders who didn’t recognize what God’s children carried because the gift of discernment and the prophetic were squashed by Religion that demands MAN be in control instead of God. They didn’t nurture and mature those identities into the fullness of expression God desired for them to attain. Rather, church leadership became all about being in charge, in control and expecting everyone to cow-tow to the Kingdom of man.
Pick up those mantles!
What spiritual mantles have been imparted by prior or current generations that God is asking us to step into the fulness of NOW? What investigation needs to happen in order to recognize and OWN the power that each mantle carries? For example, Elisha whacked the Jordan River with the mantle he picked up after Elijah’s departure on the fiery chariot and asked, “Where is the God of Elijah?” He was able to duplicate former miracles plus grow further, doing more miracles with more boldness than Elijah ever did.
What mantles have been DROPPED by self & former generations for various reasons that need to be PICKED UP? Terah set out for the Promised Land but quit at Haran, a place he named after his dead son. (Gen 11:26,28,31) His legacy seed died, breaking Terah’s heart and he gave up his dream for the Promised Land. Rather, he chose to camp where he memorialized what he lost.
The generational curse of aborted destinies wasn’t broken off his son Lot either, who settled in Sodom until its destruction then hid in the mountains. Haran = Mountaineer, parched. The vision to pursue the Promised Land of Canaan was renewed for the next generation but skipped to Abram who overcame the mountain in his path to step into his God-given destiny of the Promised Land. Those who have their eyes and ears tuned to seek after the LORD will be receiving destiny mantles that others failed to step into because of their spiritual pollution, direct and generational, causing many to wonder how on earth did THAT person suddenly become anointed for X, Y, & Z!
What mantels need to be birthed or transferred by a prophet and not merely a father? Elijah & Samuel were tasked with anointing kings and other prophets whereas Jacob was able to impart blessing to his 12 sons. It took a prophet from Rwanda to awaken my prophetic anointing that my own biological and church families failed to recognize.
Testimony of picking up my dropped mantle and owning it
The LORD reminded me I had received an impartation for worship dance from a Toronto Blessing team in Thailand when I was 13 that incidentally broke a suicidal spirit off me. I had completely forgotten about it until last Sabbath. However, dancing was deemed a “wretched sin” by our religious circles and forbidden so I never did anything with it as a child, completely forgetting about it. The impartation and mantle was given no recognition, value, or honor. Therefore, it sat dormant for decades while the Kingdom of Darkness advanced all around.
About 7 years ago, an elderly woman in the congregation that saw me dancing to the LORD in the back corner. She gifted me with streamer worship flags that reportedly came from Toronto Blessing revival. The congregation began to view me as the leader of flagging, by default that I was the only one doing it. However, due to an issue with the pastor demanding I sign a Gibeonite Contract in order for him to acknowledge flagging as a ministry that was contradictory to God’s instruction not to sign a church membership that was protecting me from coming under the stronghold of Mammon there, I chose to stop dancing entirely to honor & submit to his heart’s intent that I not be in leadership. I publicly handed off flagging to the lady God picked out of the 2nd row, telling me she was a “Saul”. “Saul” went on to create a flagging ministry and demanded I surrender the streamer flags to her that I had been personally given since they were supposed to be used for that church and I had quit dancing. It was a childish demand but out of intimidation to the Jezebel spirit in operation and not understanding the spiritual significance of what I was doing, I acquiesced to avoid a fight or exposing the pastor. The delicate flags were destroyed within a month, which doubly broke my heart.
I had unforgiveness in my heart towards Abba Father for being so cruel to demand obedience in a lose-lose situation. Last Sabbath, He revealed I hadn’t recognized it was a test of my heart posture of whether I would submit to authority, both His and man’s, as well as testing their hearts. I DIDN’T fail that day in submitting to man’s authority as I perceived but I DID drop my mantle I didn’t even know I was wearing for dancing. My heart was broken due to the spiritual blindness and flesh of others because I lacked the maturity to see the situation through the Father’s perspective. If I had seen things through His eyes, their blindness and flesh would have been like water off a duck’s back and not sunk its claws into my heart.
Noah got drunk and dropped his mantle but his sons restored his dignity by returning it where it belonged without exposing his shame. Thankfully, the LORD brought a prophet into my life who picked up what I had dropped and restored my own dignity and mantle, recognizing it for what it was even if I was ignorant of it and its power at the time.
Last Sabbath, the LORD revealed this double witness of receiving the impartation from Toronto Blessing. It wasn’t the physical object but HIS anointing that was upon the physical object that transferred to me. It remained with me when the physical object was passed on for I was not “imparting” the dancing anointing to her. That’s why the flags wouldn’t fly smoothly for her.
He reminded me that it was the same for when other people would try to pick up my anointed & consecrated named home-made flags in years gone past. Most couldn’t get them to fly properly. Specifically, when people tried to pick up and fly my former black hurricane “Fear the LORD” flags, they would flop & tangle. Only one person who I intentionally told to pick up the hurricane “Fear the LORD” flags and fly them with their eyes closed while just letting the Spirit flow could make them roar because he already possessed the spirit of the Fear of the LORD. He received the “booster” impartation when I sent those flags home with that child to Brazil, bringing him to a new level of anointing. His missionary parents were later promoted into leadership oversight.
The LORD revealed that Sabbath night that my mantle for opening heavenly portals with worship dancing from a pure heart cannot be taken away by a spiritual authority failing to recognize what I carry. It simply won’t be utilized and in turn not bring the blessings it carries to those under that authority, be it a father, business leader, or congregation. That’s not my failure but theirs. My failure was in not recognizing the power God gave me to carry and OWNING it, using it to forcefully advance the Kingdom of Heaven to bring His will into the earth realm as it is in heaven.
On the flip side, I must also not force my anointing to work out of alignment with the spiritual Godly authority over the territory for pride & arrogance would open a demonic portal that “siphons” my anointing through rebellion, which is witchcraft & idolatry. (1 Sam 15:23) That’s how God’s gifts & callings are used to advance the Kingdom of Darkness. The devil has no true power of his own so he must steal it from those created in God’s image. God’s giftings and callings are given and not taken back but the ANOINTING that rides upon the Kingdom of Heaven CAN be removed if God desires it. King Saul kept his earthly kingdom but the spiritual Kingdom of Heaven lifted and was transferred to David that was able to operate in heavenly power when King Saul was left trying to run business as usual in his flesh and failing miserably until he committed suicide. When the Body of Christ gets this concept and learns to operate their giftings and callings WITHIN the Kingdom of Heaven, they will finally have enough authority & anointing to have the show down with the Kingdom of Darkness AND WIN!
To an undiscerning eye, King Saul would have LOOKED anointed because he was siphoning off David’s anointing as long as he was working for King Saul. The Kingdom of Israel, where King Saul was in charge, was getting victory over victory, even over the giant Goliath. But those who knew the inner workings of the Kingdom were able to declare that “Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands.” (1 Samuel 18:7). When the one who truly owned the anointing left, the earthly Kingdom of Israel began to falter and King Saul was exposed for what he was – a tormented man who lacked the fear of the LORD and lacked God’s anointing.
This same pattern is repeating itself in the corporate church system right now. The David’s who legitimately carried Kingdom of Heaven authority and anointing, even if they were simply part of the music team or carrying around equipment or delivering food to the battlefield, are leaving Saul’s kingdoms in droves due to the repeated poisoned javelins being thrown their way. Their vacancy is exposing the Saul’s as powerless, leaving them with the Fearful to rise up and take their place that will in turn kill the descendants of the Sons of Eli, who were the sons of Belial to begin with. (1 Samuel 22)
Pay attention to where these David’s are relocating and follow them, for it is in the cave with David where he turned the distressed & discontented ones with financial debt into mighty warriors who knew how to wield the Fear of the LORD with results!

When his brothers and the rest of his father’s household heard about it, they went down to him there. 2And all who were distressed or indebted or discontented rallied around him, and he became their leader. About four hundred men were with him.
Generational Mantles
Three of my girls manifested the generational calling for dancing but as of yet, they are simply operating out of the flesh because they never received an intentional impartation to release the ANOINTING into their dance to supercharge it. This needs to be activated, with needing further prayer on HOW to do so. How many parents have failed to impart the anointing they carry to their bio and spiritual children simply because they didn’t know WHAT their mantels even were or about the power of transferring or multiplying mantles? Until this weekend, I didn’t recognize I even HAD a mantle for dancing, just that I really, really liked doing it and noticed things happened in the atmosphere when or after I did but I didn’t recognize WHY or how to intentionally partner with what I carried out of ignorance until Melissa’s mentorship came along.
Some examples where senior pastors or parents partnered with my odd requests that I now recognize as prophetic acts. These examples were passively responsive to the voice of the Holy Spirit’s instructions but not proactive in seeking instruction on how to PULL heaven into earth:
- A congregation size rapidly doubled shortly after putting the Pearly Gates flag above the “exit” sign of the sanctuary doors.
- A pastor’s preaching style changed and came alive after I poured sea salt on his pulpit and the water main into the church building, breaking a spirit of death off the spoken word.
- A spirit of oppression that was physically making a white sanctuary appear dark & heavy was broken after my children and I stomped our stockinged feet on every seat of the sanctuary and various flags flown in the empty sanctuary mid-week. The devil was under our feet and had to depart. We went back the following week to see if anything happened and could hear congregants wondering out loud if they had changed the lighting and ventilation in the church.
- A church reported their income suddenly leapt by 17% and stayed consistent at the new level in a single quarter when the pastor allowed the prosperity flag to be placed in the offering bucket one service but the elders blocked it for the 2nd service. They were supposed to have a double portion to 34% but control stole their double portion blessing.
- A healing flag was commissioned to a short-term missionary heading to Guatemala where she reported a healing revival broke out where she went.
- Following very specific instructions from Holy Spirit, a flagging shawl was mailed to a little girl who had cancer along with an MP3 of 7 “Spirit songs” I crudely recorded at my grand piano while playing the “soundtrack” during open visions. It arrived the day she died on the operating table from her tumor hemorrhaging. The report I received was that the mother received permission to lay the shawl on her cut-open body right on the operating table and she came back to life. The surgeon warned the mom the child would have extensive brain damage from lack of oxygen for so long but by the time the MP3 was finished playing (about 55 min), she woke up and had no deficits whatsoever. She was declared cancer free without further medical intervention.
- Jeeva Sam prophesied that every miracle in the book of Acts would manifest during a “Signs & Wonders” meeting with Pastor Dayo. No one got up from a wheelchair or raise from the dead IN THE SERVICE, but I stood in faith that God would still perform His word. I cut the sleeves off the shirt I was dancing with, my version of Paul’s healing cloths, and sent them to a missionary in China who was carrying for a medical orphan who had an open abdominal wound from a G-tube insertion that was refusing to heal. Again, the day he died and was moved to the morgue, the package arrived (3 wks in transit). She was given permission to go in to see his wee body and laid the sleeves on him, resulting in his resurrection. Within a short period of time, he was discharged from the hospital and back home, eating orally. They were able to use that testimony to share the POWER of Jesus in an area of China plagued with much witchcraft and many switched over to serving the King of Kings.
These observed changes were awesome to witness BUT how much MORE could have been accomplished to advance the Kingdom of Heaven if I had recognized my mantle and authority and pressed into the LORD for what He wanted done at every place I went instead of Him having to yell and say, ”Hey, get to work over here!”? How much more can YOU do with what YOU carry? A wise child will willingly obey a command but a MATURE child will know what will delight the parent and do it without even needing to be asked. For example, “Son, please empty the dishwasher.” And it will be done cheerfully, quickly, and completely. Vs. The son notices the dishwasher is full and takes the initiative to complete the task. The earth is groaning for the Sons of God to take the initiative and step into the fullness that Abba Father has already given them.
Elijah transferred his double-portion mantle upon the end of his life on earth to his firstborn spiritual son Elisha, but Paul didn’t have to die before Timothy became his “son” and multiplied his spiritual father’s anointing to reach further corners of the earth than a single man could do. The Double Portion anointing is the anointing of Christ, Abba’s firstborn, who manifested resurrection power. THAT is going to be an anointing that will mark 5783 come October (after Yom Kippur / Day of Atonement, for God will sound the trumpet and give people a window to repent before sealing their consequences even if forgiveness remains available. Think Ezekiel 44.).
It is insecurity in one’s identity imparted by the Heavenly Father and often a complete lack of hearing Abba’s voice in the first place that leads to fear, competition, & jealousy that hampers the multiplication of mantles in today’s generations. I don’t need to be trying to make a name for myself by copying someone else’s style or striving to climb the corporate ladder hoping I’ll get recognized by man because I know Abba has already given me His blessing to be who He created ME to be and I can rest in that identity regardless if anyone else notices or not.
For those who will BECOME the Hiding Place for David and those they will attract, they will be tasked with healing the wounded warriors. One facet of that will be to teach them to partner with Holy Spirit to identify/receive/pick up their God-given mantles, giving them confidence in what they already possess and release impartation to supercharge what they already carry, and train them to war with what God gave them instead of being a rusty useless tool, be it a business anointing, political anointing, healing anointing, prophetic, cooking, painting, etc. anointing. It won’t look anything like the old church system but step into the New Thing and watch the fruit it bears before your eyes. In Gideon’s day, there were 32,000 whittled down to 300 that withstood the enemies plundering their provision, sustenance, and wealth. In David’s day, a single man named Shammah protected their food supply. Imagine what can happen when we empower THIS generation to walk in with their lamps burning brightly within their earthen vessels & have the courage to defend what God has declared is our rightful inheritance – the nations!
