December 26, 2021, I had a dream after the Visitor’s Dream “Raptured to Concentration Camps” that led to some journaling regarding the pre-Trib rapture doctrine, which I noticed lately that a lot of prophets are talking about all at the same time, and the severe judgment of Jeremiah 18:18 – end that will cull the herd of false prophets.
“Cull the herd”:
- Literally, to separate or remove (and usually kill) inferior animals out of a herd so as to reduce numbers or remove undesirable traits from the group as a whole.
- By extension, to separate or remove people from a larger group.
Below is a snippet that pointed to the HOPE to focus on in the midst of walking through the fire of that judgment related to root bound Christians.
(Abba Father talking to me) “The thing you fear the most will come upon you. (Job 3:25) Part of the pre-trib [doctrine/belief] is that they think they are going to be eliminated from the necessity of enduring persecution. (creating and/or believing a doctrine to alleviate their subconscious fears) But look at you. The last 2 years have grown your character and faith. Is that a BAD thing? Sure, it’s uncomfortable but it did not break you to destroy you but rather broke the mold you had put yourself in that was preventing growth…much like a snakeskin that needed to be shed in order to grow into the new you! So that form of doctrine has caused many to become stagnant and run away from any form of breaking that would release them into their next phase of growth. What happens to a plant that gets root bound and refuses to be transplanted into a larger pot?
A quick internet search revealed the following:
- “If you don’t break up the roots it will eventually end up “strangling” itself, and you will end up with a stunted baby or a plant that wasn’t able to reach its full potential.”
- “These root problems can cause the plant to become droopy or show unexpected leaf symptoms or deficiencies (such as spots or yellowing leaves).”
- “Plants that are severely root-bound will not be able to absorb enough water or nutrients. Some can handle this for a very long time, but others will start dying much faster..”
Root bound Christians remain sick, weak, immature, and at risk of spiritually dying instead of hearty, healthy Christians that are vibrant and full of life able to weather periods of surface drought because of their deep roots.
(Abba Father speaking to me) So for Me to “punish” them by breaking their small pot and pruning their bound-up roots that are going in circles and strangling themselves, I am being a loving Father and not a wicked tyrant, although it may FEEL like it when they lose their cozy, comfy pot they have come accustomed to.
Unpacking this picture analogy further, what is significant of a plant growing in a pot?
- A pot is utilized to create a portable, artificial growing environment instead of being permanently planted in the dirt.
- A pot is a set size, with limitations on the sides and bottom.
- A potted plant requires more work to maintain, related to watering, fertilizer, soil, & pollination due to its artificial environment.
- A pot enables an out-of-climate/region plants grow in a wider variety of locations (tropical plants growing indoors in wintery nations) but it will never reach the true potential of its natural environment counterpart.
The following scriptures leapt out related to roots and their root-trails.
Matt 13:5-6, 20-21 NLT – “Other seeds fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seeds sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow. But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn’t have deep roots, they died…. The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. But since THEY DON’T HAVE DEEP ROOTS, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word.
Matt 13:5-6, 20-21 KJV – 5 Some fell upon STONY places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: 6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away…. 20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; 21 Yet hath he not root IN HIMSELF, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
The pot prevents them from developing deep roots, resulting in spiritual death. The KJV translation uses the word stony places, revealing their hearts were not circumcised, and they were not living in the New Covenant. (To unpack more about HOW to receive a circumcised heart, go back to blogpost July 16, 2019 – “Unpacking of Cindy Jacob’s “Shield’s Up!” Prophetic word – June 28, 2019″) Christians who have believed the lie that they won’t have trials or tribulations in this world because they’ll be raptured the hell out of here before anything touches their sensitivities, they won’t spiritually or mentally prepare for their hearts for difficult times and in turn be unable to cope with the pruning of the LORD that results in bearing MUCH FRUIT. They will perceive any discomfort as “The devil is attacking me!” and fight against it instead of surrendering to the refiner’s fire that brings us to the place of offering to the LORD an offering in righteousness. (Malachi 3:3)
When people are not taught HOW to grow deep roots or do not put in the effort to develop their OWN ROOTS (vs 21), and instead rely on the roots of others, they won’t be able to handle tribulation or persecution that separates them from their artificial water supply. They lack their own supply of Living Water. Therefore, the SOLUTION is to learn how to grow deep roots into the LORD and discipline oneself to develop their own root system into the Living Waters that flow from the throne of God.
The resource that transformed my spiritual walk years and taught me the principles of sinking my roots deep into those Living Waters was Mark Virkler’s “4 Keys to Hearing God’s Voice” book & course https://cwgministries.org. Another resource by another anointed teacher, Mike Connell, that initially exposed a lot of unbiblical doctrines about the Holy Spirit and what the Bible ACTUALLY said about Holy Spirit and the spiritual gifts that led to me finally receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit that we had been erroneously taught “you already have it when you say your salvation prayer!” is http://mikeconnellministries.com/conference_sets.aspx and his sermon series from 13-September – 13 October 2013.
Ezekiel 36:26-27 KJV – 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the STONY heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
Ephesians 3:16-19 NLT – I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
A pot is a restriction from growing deep roots. Deep roots grow down into God’s love. The inner strength requires His Spirit. Therefore the “pot” is something that blocks our ability to love God and receive His love and receive His Holy Spirit. Therefore some “Pot Doctrines” would be those that reject Holy Spirit, such as the spiritual gifts dying with the apostolic age or those that throw God’s commandments out the window as no longer being relevant for today or on the flip side, having to EARN your way into salvation and relationship with the LORD through legalistic works, or the prosperity pot that focuses on selfishness instead of sacrificial obedience birthed out of a loving relationship with Jesus Christ that eventually DOES lead to true prosperity as Abraham, Moses, David & Daniel just to name a few demonstrated. Another pot could be a church denomination, building, or idolization of a specific pastor and their pet doctrines.
The “Pre-trib Pot” wants to avoid trials and tribulation, but unfortunately that also avoids all the blessings those trials and tribulations would bring. Many blame the devil for the LORD’s chastening. Some of the blessings they miss out on by trying to avoid tribulation that tries our faith is the reward of the Kingdom of God, pure joy, patience, experience, character development, hope and the Love of God being shed abroad in their hearts.
Acts 14:22 – Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
Luke 17:20-21 NLT One day the Pharisees asked Jesus, “When will the Kingdom of God come?” Jesus replied, “The Kingdom of God can’t be detected by visible signs. You won’t be able to say, ‘Here it is!’ or ‘It’s over there!’ For the Kingdom of God is already among you.”
James 1:2-4 – 2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Romans 5:3-5 – 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Deut 4:30-31 – 30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; 31 (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
Romans 2:5-11 – 5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: 8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
As you step into 2022, thank the LORD for exposing and removing every pot that has held your spiritual roots captive and His fatherly pruningto remove anything that is strangling your growth. Embrace the short-term discomfort in order to attain long term vibrant thriving that He desires for each of His children as they mature into the Sons of God that the earth groans for who are ready to take on the responsibility of being about their Father’s Business.
