SHAME ROBS YOU OF YOUR TRUE IDENTITY

Shame robs you of your true identity. You are not what you do or have done but who God made you to be. Your inner strength can result in your biggest weakness. The question is, will you remove the filthy beggar’s rags and be humble enough to “shame” yourself by crying out to God and bluntly asking for help? That is the paradox of the Kingdom of God.

Luke 9:24-25 NLT – 24 “If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. 25 And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but are yourself lost or destroyed?”

Cry out to see beyond your current circumstances and discover hope. Cry out to have the pain stop. For others, cry out that your ability to feel that which was stolen by leprous sin be restored. Cry out for the acceptance and approval from Abba Father, and praise from God that the world can never take away.

2 Samuel 22:7 NLT – But in my distress I cried out to the Lord; yes, I cried to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry reached his ears.

The pain of releasing yourself from the responsibility of protecting yourself from the perceived judgment of man is surprisingly far less than the pain of the mask of shame rubbing you raw. Will you open your heart and receive His gift of love? He already sees what’s under the mask and He still wants a relationship with the REAL you. Yes, YOU!
