As I was taking my littles around the block for a walk today, I heard the LORD say, “The prince has a dearth of subjects.” Immediately I knew it was in reference to the scripture below:
Prov 14:28 KJV – “In the multitude of people is the King’s honour; but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.”
The LORD’s comment was an invitation to recognize the opportunity set before us and as intercessors, to seize the day to forcefully advance the Kingdom of God when the Kingdom of Darkness has been put for a season into isolation.
When the princes and principalities over territories suddenly lose the people that are participating and feeding that territorial spirit with their active participation in sin, it is an opportunity for us to bring Jesus Christ – the greatest strongman, the King of Kings and LORD of Lords, onto the scene and enthrone Him high above every other name!
What does this look like? The bars are empty. The strip joints are empty. The gay PRIDE parade has been cancelled in Toronto. Jezebel’s churches have been emptied. The princes of worldly knowledge and secular / Christian humanism have lost their students, transferring authority back to the authority and control of the parents who are now going to start discovering what their children have been taught right under their noses. Materialism has been hamstrung by the lack of access. Gluttony is being discovered by those who have woken up to the price tag of eating out vs eating at home-cooked meals. Sports and Entertainment venues are taken out of production for lack of athletes and entertainers leaving the stadiums empty of worshippers. The economy feeding Mammon just discovered hunger pains. I could go on but you get the point.
While all these places are being shut down during this COVID-19 isolation, what CANNOT be shut down is our prayer closets. If anything, this has forced many to recognize the urgency and importance of spending time in our prayer closets and pressing into intimacy with the Heavenly Father and discovering His heart, His ways, His strategies for this season? Are we gathering in prayer, if not in person, as a multitude to bring the King of Kings honor?
Do we recognize the OPPORTUNITY before us??? When the powers and principalities around us are being weakened around us, will we cross over and POSSESS THE PROMISED LAND and crown the King of Kings in our territories? Will we recognize the opportunity of a weakened enemy to rise up in the power of PRAISE that honors our King Jesus to bring even further confusion among the enemy to send him into even further turmoil and terror, causing self-destruction?
Time to pull up your bootstraps and advance the Gospel of Peace, which advances the Kingdom of Heaven.
Matt 10:7-8 – 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
