Beware! Climb the Mountain of FIRE, not the Mount of Soaking.

On Apr 27 @ 02:16am, the LORD woke me with a word, “Tabbouleh!” I initially thought it was a Hebrew word so imagine my surprise when I found out it was a kind of food! I wasn’t THAT hungry in the middle of the night…was I???

A Google search revealed that tabbouleh is a savory Middle Eastern vegetarian salad made mostly of finely chopped parsley, with tomatoes, mint, onion, cracked bulgur wheat (soaked, not cooked), and seasoned with olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper. It is eaten cold and excellent for raw food enthusiasts. I sensed God was chuckling at my attempt to understand His sense of humor but encouraging me to keep searching out this mystery.

2 Cor 2:15-17 –  15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: 16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

1 Thess 2:14-16 – 14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: 15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: 16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

2 Tim 2:15-21 – 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. 17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; 18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.

Lev 4:27 – 29 – 27 And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, while he doeth somewhat against any of the commandments of the Lord concerning things which ought not to be done, and be guilty; 28 Or if his sin, which he hath sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin which he hath sinned. 29 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay the sin offering in the place of the burnt offering.

Prov 4:27 – Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

We are to become an offering of finely ground flour to be made into roasted unleavened bread offerings. Flour represents our wills. Will we simply do the easy thing that livens up our spiritual lives with strongly flavored spices to mask the lack of flavor that only develops with obedience in our own lives? Or will we endure the process of surrendering our wills to be finely ground down and baked in the fire, and submitting to “Thy will, not mine, be done here on earth as it is in heaven?” The will of the Father is that we have His Law written upon our hearts!

Psalm 40:8 – I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

When I was first introduced to the prophetic world in 2015, we were strongly encouraged to “Soak” in the LORD’s presence and learn to hear His voice with the aid of gentle instrumental music and simply quieting our minds so we could HEAR God more clearly.  Soaking sessions were promoted; free “spiritual readings” were given to seduce the “unbeliever” into hearing God’s voice and excite them with the experiences of the supernatural. Daily prayer meetings were encouraged to “Build the Tabernacle of David”, although it was the unspoken rule that they had to be done at a SPECIFIC building and time if they were to be effective.

When challenged as to why it couldn’t be at home with our families at a time other than mealtime, we were informed that people didn’t have the discipline to actually do it at home. Plus, their children would interfere with “quality prayer experiences.” I agreed with their assessment of the lack of character and maturity in their average attendees; however, I challenged the leadership with the fact that the Ark was supposed to be carried on the shoulders of the priests, and not on a man-made cart. Why weren’t they addressing the identified lack by developing discipline, character, and maturity instead of trying to focus on the lowest common denominator? Suffice to say, I was viewed as rebellious and dishonoring to spiritual authority after that encounter. Welcome to Ahab’s world.

Despite the well-meaning hunger of the local pastors to fill a glaring absence of prayer and training for the prophets in our area, there was a dearth of foundational teaching for those very same prophetic people in learning to study their Bibles for themselves or in groups. There was never a challenge released during our training nor demonstration on how to test and interpret our visions, words, and downloads against the word of the LORD.  In fact, by the end of the 3rd year, I was discovering that it was the NORM for people to NOT read their Bibles, using dream dictionaries and other prophets as the golden standard. How can you HEAR God’s voice if your ears are dull??? My peers who openly admitted they had never read the Bible cover to cover were chasing after and receiving ordination in order to be approved by men, under “Prophets in Office”!  (http://myfatherswitness.com/my-blog/god-is-handing-out-q-tips)

When I would get going on a roll of how my download connected one verse to the next to the next to the next (how I write my blogs), student’s and pastor’s eyes alike would glaze over in utter confusion or conversely get terribly offended. At the time, I lamented over my utter failure in my prophetic gifting because I couldn’t “communicate clearly” the word of the LORD I was receiving in a way that was received.

Therein lay the fallacy being taught – that it was MY responsibility for THEM to receive the word of the LORD.  If they weren’t, I was somehow not “encouraging, comforting, or building up” correctly. Warnings or correction, which tend to be what God gives me most, were strictly forbidden because that was reserved ONLY for “those in office” and anyone who wasn’t on a salary AND warmly promoted by the denominational leaders in charge couldn’t possibly be operating in the office of a prophet (which I’m not, by the way – I’m called to the office of evangelist but carry a hybrid anointing in that I am also a prophet like John the Baptist was). Any hint of disagreement with the establishment was publicly decried as dishonor, rebellion, and declared unbiblical as per Heb 13:17 & 1 Peter 5:5.

When God pulled me out of the church system and tucked me away at home for the last 27 months, the LORD started demolishing the training I had received. Micaiah and Amos were qualified in God’s eyes enough to be recorded in scripture yet would have failed the qualifications I was taught.  Ezekiel & Jeremiah would have been tossed out on their ear for their scathing warnings of coming judgment upon the rebellious leaders. Hosea & Micah would have been punished for not respecting their spiritual authorities.  I was confronted with the eye opener that the modern prophetic movement has been promoting Pharaoh’s standard from Isaiah 30:9-11.

Isaiah 30:9-11 – 9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord: 10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:  11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.

Why is this warning to ascend the Mountain of Fire and NOT the Mount of Soaking coming up right now? This year has been called by some the “Year (or Decade) of the Prophets.” Well known, high level prophets have been releasing words that God has been calling them into places of intimacy, into deeper consecration, into knowing Him. For the most part, what I have heard released SOUNDS positive on the surface!

However, when you start looking at the themes being presented consistently across the major prophetic voices, it begs the question – WHY would God be asking the major prophets – of all people since most prophets have to live out the prophetic words they receive – into intimacy, into consecration, into knowing Him, to grow in righteousness? Is it possible that they AND those they are mouthpieces to DON’T know Him? Is it possible they and their audiences have been committing harlotry instead of faithful intimacy? Would it be unfathomable to assess that they and their audiences HAVEN’T been living a consecrated life? Why would He be warning not to be ascending the mountain of soaking, but rather redirecting them to the Mountain of Fire? Could it be that the church got lost and needed to make a course correction? Sometimes you don’t get the right answers unless you ask the tough questions.

What is this Mountain of Fire? The Mountain of Fire is referring to Mount Sinai in Exodus 19 where God gave Moses the LAW and covenant of God.

Ex 19: 3 And Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; 4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself. 5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: 6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

A cross-reference to a scripture many prophets were releasing within the last year from Malachi 3, which talks about God’s messengers coming and warning that God was coming to purify by fire to cleanse His people to offer an offering in righteousness and to judge the wicked (which DO exist in the church buildings, pulpits, & ministries by the way!), warning those who rob God will be cursed financially (observe who got took heavy losses during COVID-19 and who prospered), and those who feared the LORD would be blessed.

Malachi 3:16-18 –  16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. 17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my JEWELS; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. 18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

That word “Jewels” there is the same Hebrew word translated everywhere else as “Peculiar treasure”, which will be marked by those who obey His voice and keep His covenant.

The prophets are being called back into consecration and intimacy because many have become a rebellious, lying children that haven’t been listening nor submitting to God’s Law. They are being called back to the NARROW PATH and out of the ditch of Hyper grace the blind leaders are leading people into.

Jeremiah 18:15 – Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up;

Isaiah 35:8 – AMP – A highway will be there, and a roadway; And it will be called the Holy Way. The unclean will not travel on it, But it will be for those who walk on the way [the redeemed]; And fools will not wander on it.

Prophetic accuracy & power are not the qualification for acceptance by Jesus – departing from iniquity is! Jesus’ message was “Repent!”, not “Prophesy and display power!”

Matt 4:17 – 17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, REPENT: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matt 7:19-23 –  19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  23 And then will I profess unto them, I never KNEW you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

What is the key to knowing that you intimately KNOW (ginosko) the LORD and aren’t deceived into harlotry?

1 John 2:3-4 – 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

The reality is emerging that we have a whole generation of prophets that have been trained at Jezebel’s Table. God in His mercy is giving them the opportunity to course correct before He releases His Elijah’s to call fire down and then execute judgment. Remember, it was Elijah who was tasked with killing Baal’s prophets after he successfully called fire down during the showdown on Mount Carmel.

1 Kings 18: 17 And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? 18 And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the Lord, and thou hast followed Baalim. 19 Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which eat at Jezebel’s table. 20 So Ahab sent unto all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto mount Carmel…. 37 Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. 38 Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The Lord, he is the God; the Lord, he is the God. 40 And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.

Rev 2:20 – 23 –  20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit FORNICATION (*not in covenant with Jehovah), and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Just like we experienced a literal Passover this year due to the lockdown with COVID-19, the prophets are warning to expect a literal Pentecost. The first Pentecost happened upon the Mountain of Fire (Mount Sinai) and the second in the upper room when fire fell upon those waiting in the upper room. Pay attention to what happened immediately AFTER those 2 events.

1)     Moses waited for 7 days of his 40 before Jehovah spoke to him from the cloud within the fire. Then after his 40 days in the fire comes down off the Mountain of Fire to confront the idolatry of the golden calf and declares judgment upon them. It was the SONS OF LEVI, the ones referred to in Malachi 3 that have been purified by fire to offer an offering in righteousness, that God used to release judgment upon the idolaters. (*Eze 9-10, coals of fire scattered upon the city)

Exodus 24:15-18 –  15 And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount. 16 And the glory of the Lord abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud. 17 And the sight of the glory of the Lord was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel. 18 And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.

Exodus 32:24-28 – 24 And I said unto them, Whosoever hath any gold, let them break it off. So they gave it me: then I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf.  25 And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies:) 26 Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the Lord’s side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him. 27 And he said unto them, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour. 28 And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.

2)     The wind and the cloven tongues of fire baptized the disciples in the upper room after a 7 day wait. Then Peter, who would be categorized as an evangelist today, boldly confront the spiritually blind in Jerusalem who couldn’t discern the times. He ended his discourse with the stern warning to REPENT and be baptized. He was preaching to the RELIGIOUS who were faithful to show up in Jerusalem during the Feasts that they needed to REPENT!!!

Acts 2:38-41 –  38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as  the Lord our God shall call. 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

We are on the 26th day of counting the Omer, which marked the 50 days between Passover to Pentecost. This year, Shavuot will land on May 29th, 2020. Let’s push into that season of consecration and repentance, ensuring we have no flesh or strangers found among us, so that when the mighty rushing wind blows and the fire falls, we will rejoice instead of being terrified like the Israelites that refused to hear God’s voice for themselves out of fear of dying. Prophet Charlie Shamp shares in his blog the blessing for those who prepare themselves! (https://www.destinyencounters.com/news/2020/4/30/ua7u74oz1zimsdprb45argsq10ddqj)

Ex 19:16-19 –  16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled. 17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount. 18 And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. 19 And when the voice of the TRUMPET sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.

Ex 20:19 – 21 –  19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. 20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. 21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

Ex 30:30-33 – 30 And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office. 31 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations. 32 Upon man’s flesh shall it NOT be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you. 33 Whosoever compoundeth any like it, or whosoever putteth any of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people.

Galatians 5:19-21 AMP – 19 Now the practices of the [i]sinful nature (*flesh) are clearly evident: they are sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality (total irresponsibility, lack of self-control), 20 [j]idolatry, [k]sorcery, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions [that promote heresies], 21 envy, drunkenness, riotous behavior, and other things like these. I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who practice such things will NOT inherit the kingdom of God.
